Affiliate Disclosure

Transparency is at the core of everything we do. Here's exactly how BrokerInsight earns money and how that affects — or doesn't affect — our editorial content.

Last updated: January 2025

Quick Summary

BrokerInsight may earn commissions when you open accounts through our links. This never affects our ratings or recommendations. Our reviews are always independent and based on real testing.

What Are Affiliate Links?

Some links on BrokerInsight are affiliate links. This means that if you click on a link and sign up or open an account with a broker, we may receive a commission or referral fee from that broker at no additional cost to you. These commissions help us keep the site running and continue producing free, independent content for traders.

Our Editorial Independence

Affiliate relationships do not influence our reviews, ratings, or recommendations. Our editorial team evaluates every broker based on objective criteria including fees, platform quality, customer support, available assets, and regulatory standing. A broker's willingness to pay us a commission has zero bearing on the score or ranking we assign them. We have reviewed and rated brokers that do not have affiliate programs, and we have given low scores to brokers that do.

How We Make Money

BrokerInsight is a free resource. We generate revenue primarily through affiliate commissions when readers open accounts with brokers we recommend. We may also earn revenue through display advertising and sponsored content, which is always clearly labeled as such. We never accept payment in exchange for positive reviews or inflated ratings.

Our Review Methodology

Every broker we review is evaluated using a consistent, documented methodology. We assess over 50 individual data points across categories including trading fees, account minimums, platform usability, research tools, educational resources, customer service quality, and regulatory compliance. Scores are calculated algorithmically and reviewed by our editorial team before publication.

Keeping Information Up to Date

Broker fees, features, and terms change frequently. We make every effort to keep our reviews and comparison tables accurate and up to date. However, we recommend always verifying current fees and terms directly with the broker before opening an account. If you notice outdated information, please contact us so we can correct it promptly.

Regulatory Compliance

This disclosure is provided in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255). We are committed to full transparency with our readers about how we operate and how we earn revenue. If you have any questions about our affiliate relationships or editorial policies, please do not hesitate to contact us.
